The most important differance is the ability to review, adjust and print photos. This saves loads of time and money, because of no film etc. The ability to take a lot of pictures knowing that you don't have to develop, makes it possible to do a lot of experimentation. Digitals can be sent instantly and the sent photo is the original and not a copy. I suppose that the color maybe a little more true in film. Film cameras are cheaper that digital. I can't imigine using film myself.
